The Preamble According to the People
How People have defined the mandate of the United States of America
Herein are definitions for the objectives in the preamble to our Constitution that People have created during Constitution Workshops as described in this post:
“We the People” ordained and established “the United States of America” in order to:
form a more perfect Union,
establish Justice,
insure domestic Tranquility,
provide for the common defence,
promote the general Welfare, and
secure the Blessings of Liberty
1. form a more perfect Union
To arrange the Earth and that which is upon it to enable people to better pursue their happiness.
To create a continuously improving version of our group, an optimist community.
2. establish Justice
Set up a legal system that ensures fairness and equity based on objective reality (facts and truth) and accordingly dispenses a deserved punishment or reward.
Identify, co-create, & implement a method to provide fair treatment for all
people; balancing rights & responsibilities so that all hearts are equally nurtured.
3. insure domestic Tranquility
To secure and support the peace, happiness, and undisturbed living within the homes of the people and throughout the borders of our united States.
Do away with all things that divide people (like politics, religious, wealth, status/disparity; ensure happiness; importance of humility; whole is more important than the individual; encourage self love to grow self value + encourage generosity.
4. provide for the common defence
To procure and tribute the military measures and resources for protecting the country shared by we the People.
Benevolent character; uninviting of invasion/imposition; inspiring; consensus listening/discernment; non-attachment; good health + fit populace; spiritual groundedness.
5. promote the general Welfare
To advance the well-doing, well-being, health, blessings, exemption from evil or calamity, prosperity, and happiness of humanity.
Promote the well-being and prosperity of society as a whole to assure the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; the government cannot obstruct but protect above.
Create an environment that enables and supports maximum happiness for all the people.
6. secure the Blessings of Liberty
